Tillandsia (aka Air Plant) Care Guide

General Info

• Enjoy humid environments.

• Epiphytic in nature, and live on other surfaces like rocks and trees to survive!

• Native to the West Indies, and much of Central and South America!

Soil 

• No soil! 

• Never plant these guys in soil. They are naturally found on trees, cliff sides, and rocks!

Water

• Option 1: 

• Spray with water daily in the summer, and every 5 days in the winter.

• Option 2:

• Soak in water for 30 minutes once every 1-2 weeks.

• Make sure to dry the plant upside down to avoid rot!

• Either way, make sure no water stays sitting in the crevices of the leaves!

Light

• Bright-indirect light is best!

• Too much direct light will scorch the tips of the leaves.

• Not enough light will lead to rot.
