Monstera Care Guide

General Information

• Most species develop fenestrations (holes/splits in the leaves)

• Monstera are climbers, so they love growing up poles/planks of wood!

• Native to Mexico and Central America.

Soil

• Prefers a well-draining potting mix.

• Not as picky as anthurium or alocasia though!

Water

• Water thoroughly when top 2-3 inches of soil is dry.

• Does not like to sit in soil that is too dry OR too moist.

Light

• Bright indirect light is best, but can handle lower light.

• Ex: a few feet back from a South or West facing

  window.
